For effective searching, please follow this advice:
	All text is in the standard English character set -- no accented characters -- and spelling is generally in US English.
	You can enter one or more words in one or more boxes. This is treated as a Boolean AND search. The search routine will display only entries which match ALL of your search keywords.
	Query boxes which contain less than two characters in a string are ignored. So a search for "e", or "e a c h" will not find anything, while "B uffalo" will probably find the same as "Buffalo". Also, any non- alphanumeric characters (e.g. spaces, tabs, dashes, asterisks) are converted to spaces.
	You can use wildcards for convenience in typing your query. Any non- alphanumeric character, such as an asterisk (*), or a dot (.) can stand for a character. WEDA will actually ignore the character, converting it to a space. "arch*eology" will find "archeology" as well as "archaeology".
	For the name of a person, try typing just their last name (e.g. "smith").
	For a thesis title, type in one or more words you feel are in the title, in any order. Again, this is treated as a Boolean AND search. For example, "prehistoric New York" would find only enteries with "New" AND "York" AND "prehistoric", such as "Maize Cultivation and Ceramic Vessel Wall Thickness in Prehistoric Central New York" AND "The Durhan Site: A Prehistoric Iroquois Component in Jefferson County, New York", but NOT "Detecting the Origins of Prehistoric Burning in Northeastern North America".
	For the year of publication, you have several options: Enter the exact date if you know it in both boxes. In this case only theses completed in that precise year will be considered for your search. For a more robust search, specify two dates to bracket a specific span of years (e.g. 1990 and 1991, inclusive). Or provide a beginning year for the search, which will then include all theses completed from that year to the present (e.g. 1990 to now, inclusive). Or provide an end date for the search, which will then include all theses completed before that year (e.g. everything before 1998, inclusive).
	Specify the subdiscipline if you know it. The choices are "archaeology", "cultural anthropology", "medical anthropology", and "physical anthropology". (The default is "any", i.e. all categories.)
	Specify the degree if you know it. The choices are "Honors Thesis", "Master's" (MS or MA), and "PhD". (The default is "any", i.e. all categories.)
	You can opt to see all theses, sorted by date or author's name.
	You can select to see the results sorted by year of publication, or by author's last name. (The default is by date.)
