Admissions
The IGPBS Admissions Committee will base
offers of admission on a review of the
applicant's OFFICIAL credentials. Competitive
candidates will possess a 3.0 or better
overall and science grade point average
and competitive GRE and TOEFL scores.
Letters of recommendation, personal goals
and research experience are included
in the review.
Applicants
to the Interdisciplinary Graduate
Program are required to submit
the following official credentials:
- Official
Transcript(s) from every institution
previously attended.
- GRE Score
Report ( Institutional Code:

- Three
( 3 ) Letters of Recommendation
- A
personal letter stating career
objectives and research experience.
Research experience is highly desirable.
- An
application fee of $50 should be
submitted by check (payable to "University
at Buffalo, SUNY") or may be paid
online.( we do not give application
fee waivers )

- You
do NOT need to fill out the financial
section of the online application.
All accepted students receive a
full tuition scholarship stipend,
therefore no financial documentation
is necessary.

The minimum score that we accept is
- Computer
based 250
- Paper
based 600
- iBT 100
- TOEFL
SCORES dated prior to August 1,
2008 cannot be accepted for Fall
2010 applications. It is University
policy that TOEFL score reports
be no older than two years when
entering a program.
- An
advanced degree (Master's degree)
is strongly recommended

stipend for 2010-2011 is $24,000.

will not review any files until it's
complete.
Strong
consideration is given to students
who majored in chemistry, physics,
mathematics, engineering, biology,
biochemistry, pharmacy, or psychology.
Recommended undergraduate courses
include general chemistry, organic
chemistry, biology, physiology, physics
and mathematics including calculus
and statistics. A bachelor's degree
is required prior to entering the
program.
